Philanthropy advice shaped around you

You may have money you want to use for good, but not know where to begin. Or perhaps you’re already giving and want to bring more thought and direction to it.

I help you explore what matters to you, get to know the people and organisations working in the areas you care about, and make a practical plan for your giving. If you’d like to involve your partner or family, we can work through that together too.

What brings you here?

Perhaps you’ve sold a business, received an inheritance or realised you have more than you need. There may be many things you’d like to support, and deciding where to focus can be difficult.

You may already have causes close to your heart but want to understand how best to help. You might be wondering how to involve your children, or whether the giving you’ve done so far is making the difference you hoped for.

You don’t need to call yourself a philanthropist or have any of this worked out before we talk.

What can we work on together?

Every client relationship is different. I can help you:

  • explore your values, interests and ambitions for giving

  • understand the causes, communities and organisations you might support

  • develop a philanthropy strategy and a practical plan

  • talk through different views within your family

  • research organisations, make grants and build funding relationships

  • review what you’re learning and decide what to do next

We might begin with an exploratory conversation and a period of planning. Or you may have a particular question you’d like help with. My support can continue as you put your decisions into practice.

  • "Without expert guidance and advice, I think we would very much have fallen at the first hurdle."

  • "We feel much more knowledgeable and are excited about our philanthropy journey ahead."

What will it be like to work together?

I’ll listen carefully, ask questions and help you consider possibilities you may not have come across. I’ll also share what I know about charities and the wider philanthropy landscape, so your decisions are informed by the people and work you hope to support.

You can expect an open conversation, practical advice and thoughtful challenge when it’s useful. The aim is not to hand you someone else’s answer, but to help you develop an approach you understand, believe in and can act on.
