I wrote Advising Philanthropists: Principles and Practice with Professor Beth Breeze to explore what philanthropy advising involves and what it takes to do it well. Drawing on conversations with advisors around the world, the book looks at the knowledge, skills, practical questions and ethical considerations behind thoughtful advice.
It is written for people working in or considering a career in philanthropy advising. It may also be useful if you work with donors as a professional advisor, fundraiser or charity leader and want to understand the role better.
